Definitely a 5* location right on the Via Roma and gourmet dining options, with a Michelin-starred restaurant, but possibly only a superior 4* overall in our eyes. This large hotel has Courmayeur’s après-ski, boutique shops and gastronomic restaurants right on the doorstep along the charming pedestrian zone. There is a very large and comfortable bar and lounge area, as well as an outdoor heated pool and spa (restrictions apply).
Design hotel in a peaceful residential location a stroll from the pedestrianised centre of Courmayeur with views of Mont Blanc. There are 4 connected chalet style buildings; three that contain the rooms and the fourth, a striking glass fronted central chalet with an atrium and central staircase housing the reception, lounge bar and restaurant. Styling is uncluttered and minimalist but with plenty of dark alpine wood and local stone to compliment the large expanses of glass. The wonderful spa has an indoor pool and much of the hotel enjoys stunning views of the Mont Blanc chain.
One of Courmayeur’s newest and most luxury hotels in an ideal location for the main cable car. Sleek and modern but maintaining its mountainous roots in stone and wood with a wide range of elegant room types and sizes. There is a great bar and two restaurants at the hotel. Chetif with a choice of Italian regional cuisine and wines and the Cervo Rosso Steak House. On the mountain, skiers can also enjoy lunch at the hotel’s own Loge du Massif restaurant with spectacular views of the Aosta valley. Facilities include a spa with a wealth of treatments as well as a large jacuzzi, turkish steam bath and sauna (worth noting there is a significant additional daily charge for spa access and restrictions for use apply to children). There is a kids club for ages 4 – 12 and to spoil you, the concierge will take your skis and boots up the mountain and store them at their mountain lodge in Plan Checrouit so your daily journey to the slopes is in your après ski boots.
Family run by Aldo and Paola, this lovely Alpine style hotel is only a few minutes walk to the main cable car and the pedestrian zone of Via Roma and has an indoor swimming pool, Turkish steambath and sauna (supplements apply). There is a simple half board option as well as the excellent a la carte Aria restaurant with one of Courmayeur’s best wine lists!
A special place in the hamlet of Entreves just outside Courmayeur where Alessandra Garin and her team provide 5* service in an intimate and welcoming atmosphere to the backdrop of a crackling fireplace. The Auberge de la Maison gives you the opportunity to experience Courmayeur from the intimacy of a traditionally styled chalet where each of the 33 rooms and suites are individually furnished. They run a great shuttle service to get you around. This is one of our personal favourites.
Very unique to Courmayeur is this amazing complex of individual petit chalets in a range of sizes most with their own log fire. There is also a main building and reception with some suite rooms where optional breakfast can be taken. Very tastefully and individually designed by a local architect, you will feel at home in these sumptuous surroundings. There is a gorgeous indoor pool and fantastic spa area for guests’ use (restrictions apply). Located right by the main cable car.
The Cresta et Duc offers a contemporary alpine style, ideally located just a short walk from the ski lifts and town centre. Facilities include a cosy bar area, a modern style breakfast room and restaurant for guests taking the half-board option. The hotel has a small wellness area with Turkish steam bath and sauna and a small gym.
A traditional alpine style hotel on the edge of the town, around 7 minutes walk to the start of the Via Roma but with complimentary shuttle services to the convenient Dolonne gondola. Rooms are spacious, light and comfortable with various great options to upgrade. Lovely indoor/outdoor pool and generous spa area (supplements may apply).
Well located close to the main cable car and a short stroll to the centre of town. You will be very well looked after by the Truchet family. The half-board is good and there is a very pleasant ‘old school’ bar as well as an indoor swimming pool (restrictions apply). Rooms are comfortable, clean and spacious – some with mezzanine levels, so great for families.
The Romantik Hotel Villa Novecento is beautifully furnished in a style that dates back to its roots as a noble alpine villa in the 1900’s. With a classic alpine boutique chalet feel it is located on the edge of town 5 minutes walk to the Via Roma. There is a small wellness centre to relax muscles and unwind.
You can’t beat the Jumeaux for its location right by the main cable car and a few minutes walk from the pedestrian zone of the Via Roma for Courmayeur’s après ski, gourmet dining and shopping scene. Officially a 4*, we would only rate this as a 3* hotel. Rooms are split between the main hotel and separate annexe. Room changes may occasionally be required over Saturday nights, subject to the hotel booking situation, as it is the hotel’s weekly changeover day.
Gorgeous chalet style hotel, with rich artistic and traditional Alpine styling. There is always a welcoming fire roaring in the cosy bar and seating area. A real range of room types that are unique and tastefully decorated with some great family rooms and even a lovely separate self catering chalet apartment next door. There is a lovely spa area with an outdoor Jacuzzi (supplement applies).
The Hotel Bouton d’Or is one of our most popular hotels in Courmayeur and our favourite 3* – it’s about the people and the breakfast although the rooms are lovely too. Run by the wonderful Patrizia and Andrea, for whom nothing is too much trouble, it has a great family atmosphere and truly 5 star service including a fantastic shuttle to the lifts. You also won’t find a better breakfast in any other 3 star hotel – they even make their own jam! There is a lounge and bar area with log fire and a sauna available on request. Simply the best.
A traditional, family run, centrally located hotel. Many of the rooms have been recently renovated and they have some fabulous, modern-style apartments and rooms in the next door building, linked by a tunnel to the main hotel. There is a groovy cave style spa with Jacuzzi and sauna.
As the name suggests the Centrale enjoys a great location in the heart of the village making it an ideal B&B base to explore the resort’s excellent bars, restaurants and shops. There is a nice in house bar and some triple and quad rooms available.
A charming family-run hotel with 23 en-suite rooms on a quiet side street but very close to the centre of the village. Courmayeur’s shops, bars and restaurants can be reached on foot in a couple of minutes. There is an attractive lounge area with a characteristic fireplace and pleasant hotel bar. The hotel has its own complimentary shuttle service to the Dolonne gondola.
This family run hotel offers a friendly welcome and is in a convenient position close to the pedestrian centre of the village. The rooms are furnished in a traditional alpine style providing a comfortable stay. There is a cosy lounge and bar area as well as a Turkish bath and sauna. A private shuttle service operates at certain times offering lifts to the Dolonne gondola and the main cable car is within walking distance.
Family run hotel in a superb location right on the pedestrianised Via Roma. One of the few 3*’s in Courmayeur that is run on a half board basis so you can sample regional and Italian cuisine in the traditional restaurant and relax in the nice bar and lounge area.
Something a little different! Super G is on the mountain in a prime spot at Plan Checrouit, at the top of the main cable car. A popular mountain eatery and après ski terrace during the day, it also has a series of simple but beautifully furnished rooms and a small lounge that allow you to make the most of the peace and tranquility and indeed the thrill of being on the mountain at night while still having access to the village as the cable car runs until 11pm. And of course you are guaranteed first tracks on the pistes!
Skiers location! One of the closest B&B’s to the cable car and a short walk to the pedestrianised Via Roma. A simply furnished hotel with a cosy reading room, a small bar and a Finnish sauna.
Another great location and friendly family team in Camilla and Clara. Cosy and homely, furnished in traditional Aosta valley style with lots of local artifacts decorating the communal areas, hallways and intimate little lounge. Breakfast is a simple fare, nothing too much to spoil an appetite for where Courmayeur excels all others; an incredible mountain lunch!
Owner-run and close to the main cable car and a little further to the boutique shops and cafes of the Via Roma. 15 self-catered apartments ranging from studios to superior apartments sleeping up to 5, all uniquely furnished with local woods and crafts. The Residence has a small coffee bar perfect for a fresh morning croissant and cappuccino.
Residence Le Grand Chalet is a short walk from Courmayeur’s pedestrian area and very convenient for the main cable car. They have a range of great value simple self-catering apartments and a wellness centre with Jacuzzi pool, Turkish bath and Finnish sauna (age restrictions apply). There is a reception area with an optional breakfast buffet and a popular public bar and the local supermarket is very close.
Great, central yet quiet location just off the Via Roma. The Roveyaz family will look after your every need. Officially a 2* but we think it could have 3*’s with good value ensuite rooms, from singles through to triples.
The Vieux Pommier is a family run restaurant that has 11 simple rooms split between an annexe building and above the restaurant itself. Breakfast is served in the restaurant. It's a great budget option.
Set just off Courmayeur’s charming cobbled high-street. An affordable and pleasant B&B, in an incredible central location, offering great access to the resort’s plentiful supply of fantastic restaurants and only a short walk to the main cable car. The wood panelled bedrooms are nice and comfortable and all are ensuite with a bath or shower and WC. The hotel has a light and airy breakfast room.
Ideal for skiers looking for budget, centrally-located accommodation with good access to the resorts bars and restaurants. Rooms are very basic doubles, twins or triples with shared facilities (there are 2 bathrooms per floor each shared between approximately 6 rooms). A very simple continental breakfast is included.
